Ya think??My belief is that the US military is a sieve for stolen property of all kinds of stuff.
Unofficial form of welfare. There is some level of shrinkage in all large organizations, it's in the nature of the situation that size alone is part of the reason. My belief is that the US military is a sieve for stolen property of all kinds of stuff.
Best tip Ever!AND especially considering this part:
Over the weekend, a friend helped the couple stack and store the cases. As a thank you, they gave one of the cases to the friend.
When that friend opened the case, he realized it was not empty. Inside were 12 fully-automatic M-16s,
Yep, I have known a lot of GI's who would regularly "home" small stuff, like some food. The ones doing it with stuff like NVG, or guns? When they get caught its play stupid games win stupid prizes. Sure the temptation to make some easy money but damn, they are begging to end up doing some very hard time for that money. Seems to be no end to stupid though.Ya think??
When I was stationed at Tinker AFB there was a large theft ring taking place with several members of my MP unit. When the 'smoke cleared' out of my shift of about 17 people only about 1/3 remained (me included).
Several went to jail with the 'ringleader' ultimately going to FT Leavenworth.
I have one half that size and I can stuff enough guns and ammo in it I can barely lift it into the truck.Thank to this, I may or may not have purchased a case. Not expecting to find anything inside it, but I feel like $225 isn't bad for what it is.
"fully simi-automatic AR-15's with high capacity clips"All I have to say is thank all that is Holy that they weren't fully simi-automatic AR-15's with high capacity clips loaded with green tip metal piercing ammo….
That was my exact thought as soon as I read the thread title. I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only one who thinks this way. I wouldn't put it past the current jokeministration and their myriad anti-2A sycophants to engineer an election season effort like this in order to strike fear into the hearts and (imbecilic) minds of their sheople to demonstrate "how easy it is to get assault weapons - even easier than getting a library card!"Isn't it curious that this is happening during election season?
Have you seen the High School Kids with Glock Switches? That was my exact thought as soon as I read the thread title. I'm relieved to see that I'm not the only one who thinks this way. Ooooooh, you know I have...Have you seen the High School Kids with Glock Switches?
Noticed? A bunch of books would easily weigh that much.Wow, I thought by looking at one of the pictures it was only six. So the plastic tub that should have weighed 10-15 lbs weighed closer to a hundred and nobody noticed
You would expect empty surplus containers to be empty and not filled with rifles, books, sand or random junk. Over 15 or so lbs and I'd be very interested to see what was nside. The first one I moved would have been inspected regardless of weight f to see what was and what was not included and overall condition.Noticed? A bunch of books would easily weigh that much.

Oops my bad that box was supposed to go to the Ukraine. LolThey are A2's and look new and unused so who knows how long they might have been in the box.
Wow - what a highly intelligent statement from a retired Police Captain and former marine... My point being I highly doubt it was intentional...
