The kids now days will never have that chance at that kind of fun. Muscle cars, racing, drinking beer, smoking weed and the young ladies all in one night. Those were the days.

Pretty sure the kid with the Camaro is doing most if not all of that stuff now. Yes, they were good times. Always one step ahead of the law.

Always one step ahead of the law.

That was part of the game. Most of the locals back in the day were just slightly older than us, and really not much different. We used CB radios and scanners to try and get an advantage over their radios, and some of the gyrations and things we did to get away.

But it was just that a game. One of the local cops was getting beat up by a couple of loser scum one night, he got the word out over his radio, but his back ups were 10 minutes away. We heard it on the scanner and hauled azz over that way, and about 5 of us beat the living sh*t out of those two guys. We jumped back in the cars and left and the cop told his cover that some people stopped to assist him and had left before he could get their names, since there was some pretty good damage done to those guys.

He looked us all up over the next week and thanked us. He is retired now and I am have been friends with him for years, we still get a kick out of the things we did. Him and another guy came to a bachelor party one time where there was some strippers and some drugs. They were just drinking and having fun, some of their higher ups tried to get a lot of us to roll on them so they could hang their azz, but nobody would talk, even guys they had arrested before would not roll on them.

The code of the 70's was honored.

We played a game. One cop nearby would confiscate our beer . No M.I.P.'s back then. Just remove from my trunk to his squad car trunk on the side of the road. Beat pouring it out. Later that night we'd go over to his house and steal it back from his garage refrigerator. We used to call it the evidence locker.
