You can buy lowers for $40, I don't get the make your own lower deal.
If they are tracking you they will know what you have either way.
And if shtf and you can make your own lower, how will you get the other parts needed?

I kinda get the build your own lower idea. It's a simple project to occupy some time and with a useful outcome. Being retired I have plenty of time to do such things. But from a cost/benefit perspective, buying a lower that's ready to roll makes more sense to me.

Sure, if you are on the radar at all then your purchases are being tracked anyway.

However, 5-10-20 years from now when some up an coming politician floats a bill to digitize all the ATF records and all the FFL records and it becomes the largest gun ownership database in history and it passes, I don't want to be in it.
