So I've been fighting some cycling issues on a Grendel build for the last couple of weeks. I've since got good ejection, round feeding, and still the occasional failure to lock the bolt on the last round, only when its hot. I'm still set on a headspace issue with gases escaping back through the chamber and somehow allowing the bolt to release early before dwell time to give the BCG the full charge of gases it needs to fully cycle the action.

So my question is if I turned off the gases completely, there should be no unlocking of the bolt in the chamber ? Just to check for proper function of the bolt to chamber. I'm getting amazing grouping at 400 yards at my range Lone Oak, so headspacing shouldnt be a issue, but it's my last ditch effort before sending back parts.

Thanks NWFA
