Poll: Bolt action - what would you get?

Held onto the Savage 212 the other day.

Yep, it refueled my thoughts on buying one as a unique Salvo 12 host.

There are two versions in 12 gauge and one in 20 grade. In 12 there is a fully rifled bore for slug's. Which could be highly enjoyable for reloading, I could buy some of those all brass 12g hulls and make some silly large lead loads at subsonic speeds. As well as a Turkey hunting version, which is smooth bore, this one would allow for the greatest use of available store bought ammos. Either could be used for hunting I suppose. Though I'm partial to having the barrel cut shorter, likely just to 18" to shorten it up a bit. Maybe more, not entirely sure yet. Need to pick one and buy it first!

I wouldn't. Bolt action shotguns don't interest me. I'd rather save the length, balance and weight without a receiver and go with a break-action.

Unless there's been a major shift in the space/time continuum, bolt action shotguns have been turds and will always be turds.
The high water mark of turdism was the 36" barreled Long Tom.

What does this mean ?
In simple terms, clunky and slow.
Shotgunning is a smooth, fluid thing and bolt actions don't lend themselves to this.
If you want a low velocity rifle, there are better ways to do it.
