Bolt action AR15

Well now this is something I've always wondered about but never seen done.

Looks like someone actually made it a reality.



Naturally there appears to be zero information on it.

I found it looking through shotshow coverage on Instagram. Maybe Piedmont Cartridge manufacturers it, but it isn't on their websight.

In the times we live in, ehh especially in Washington, this is a pretty cool little upper assembly if you ask me.

Just thought I'd share.

I would try one but I have a Ruger Ranch for that.

Now make it a pull style bolt mixed with the Sig556 upper style and I'd be a happy camper. No buffer tube needed and collapsible stock. Short pull bolt, almost side charged.

Here's a bolt action AR upper by Uintah Precision in Utah. Doesn't look like it will shoot 5.56 - it says .223 Wylde - what's that?

I like the looks of the Ruger Precision Rifle - it looks kind of like an AR. If you shot 5.56 in it would it have the same accuracy as with .223 ammo?

Its simply a chamber specification which is supposed to allow users to shoot both 5.56 and .223 safely.

I could see it being good for supressed shooting plus there are no 80% bolt actions as far as I know.

Why? With straight pull designs, so when the need arises you can reengineer it to be a standard design again.

Is it 5.56? Why would anyone need a cartridge that was meant for a battlefield? Ask trauma docs the carnage this insanely powerful cartridge causes.
