Careful... Thomas Jefferson was 299.80 (Asperger's) and he might have been a DQ if you insist on a "no diagnosable pathology" benchmark. So would all of us, because a pshrink really trying can put a DX on *anyone*.
Full disclosure: 299.80 myself--but I would generally agree with the idea that our elected officials should have an eligibility requirement of being required to take the same psych eval as the officers entrusted with our nuclear arsenal and publicly post the results, ditto for Executive appointees.
We all have some type of imperfection in us; we all cannot be Speaker of the House.
Boehner ain't no Jefferson, Jefferson was never a Speaker of the house (to the best of my knowledge), this is 2015, and I will stand by my position, thank you.
A mal-formed b cluster (debilitating addiction and a tendency to cry) should be a disqualifier for the position of Speaker of the House. Ten minutes into a meeting, he was thinking about his next cig, not the country...c'mon.
