They always think we want guns for sake of having guns. No we have guns because it is our constitutional right to be armed.
The constitution's 2nd has been supported over and over the last 200 years. Only the last 30 or so years have these pardon, but dirt bags want us to abandon the rights of a free nation. They are fielding local candidates at this time. Here is what the site has regarding the presidential election of 2012:

For 2012 the Whigs are not looking to support a candidate for President by themselves. To do so at this point would be a waste of resources that we could use to support multiple candidates for other state and federal offices.

This is the way the game was played at its peak during the end of WW2, with Truman winning the vice presidency from what was no more then a complete disregard for the political process, exceeded the previous 150 years in favors and illicit bargains placed this nation at the hands of the wealthy and powerful. And what makes one powerful ??? " MONEY ".
The WHIG party faces the same problem as every other 3rd party out there. Simply the more Third parties there are the more the left over from D&R are split up and the possibility goes out the window.

It has been said that the Democrat actually has devised third parties that oppose their views, the idea is if they do not vote for them, but some obsolete party it is better then voting republican. It is true and scary that third parties are not parties at all but diversions for the undecided. Ever notice every third party out there is about to the right as far as you can go ?
The point is to get people to look at these new conservative progressive parties and since the democrats own these parties it is easy to correct should they gain too much power all they do is stop funding and close up shop.

Bob Costas Bites the Big One



Bob Costas should be severely reprimanded for his grossly inappropriate attack on the Constitution of the United States.

Assailing the God given rights of Americans has no place in NBC sports.

As one of the very few NBC talking heads formerly deserving respect, Costas has shown his true colors as a tool for NBC's anti-American agenda.


Here is a snippet taken from the NRA website on Monday:

Only a media elitist, living a cloistered life inside the NBC newsroom, could let loose with such a woefully ignorant, ill-timed and irresponsible statement. Furthermore, the fact that Costas tried to partially hide behind a fellow journalist (Costas referenced sportswriter Jason Whitlock) borders on cowardice.

According to criminologist Gary Kleck, 2.5 million Americans use firearms to defend their lives and the lives of their loved ones each year. The obvious truth is that if Bob Costas and his gun-ban buddies at NBC had their way, many of these innocent men and women would not be alive today.

Seemingly, Costas has absolutely no knowledge of the fact that good men and women — and oftentimes, the physically weakest among us — rely on firearms as the only reasonable means of protecting themselves from would-be murderers, rapists and thugs.

Take the case of the elderly woman in Sarasota, Florida, who, earlier this year, used a handgun to fend off an attacker who broke through her kitchen window. "I was fearful of my life," the grandmother tearfully told a 911 operator after she fired two shots at the intruder, causing him to flee.

Or the case of a young Oklahoma mother, who used a firearm to successfully defend herself and her three-month-old baby this past New Year's Eve from a man armed with a 12-inch hunting knife who kicked in her door and came straight for her and her child.

On the other hand, consider the tragic reality of Bob Costas' and Jason Whitlock's gun-ban utopia.

In 2007, Amanda Collins was a student at the University of Nevada, Reno. Although she possessed a legal permit to carry a handgun, the university prohibited her from doing so on campus property.

Late one night, after taking a mid-term exam, Collins was attacked and brutally raped in a campus parking garage located just 100 yards from a police station. And although she escaped with her life that night, another young woman abducted near the same campus would not be so lucky.

Brianna Denison had been staying with a friend during winter break when she went missing in the middle of the night. After a frantic, four-week search, authorities finally found Brianna’s naked, frozen body, crudely hidden underneath a discarded Christmas tree. She had been kidnapped, raped and strangled to death — savaged by the same monster who attacked Amanda in the parking garage just a few months earlier.

As is often the case with media talking heads, it’s doubtful that Bob Costas has any real understanding of the recklessness of his statements. However, ignorance is never a good excuse, and that’s especially true for someone like Bob Costas, who prides himself on being a responsible journalist.

Bob Costas offended millions of law-abiding, gun-owning football fans with his gun-ban rant. He not only owes every one of us an apology, but also a promise that, in the future, he’ll stick to doing what he’s paid very well to do: talk about sports.

Since I don't watch football anymore I have a question? Did Bob Costas come out and say we should ban vehicles or alcohol this weekend due to the Dallas Cowboys accident? Or does it take two people dead for it to be a no no in his eyes?

He didn't cry out against the "car culture" or the "Alcohol culture" because those are major advertiser's on the network and pay his salary. Ever see a Glock ad at halftime at the Superbowl? However an argument crying out against cars and booze would be equally absurd which is another reason he didn't go there, it would expose the fallacy of blaming objects for poor decisions of people. Outlawing alcohol only made organized crime stronger and richer. same thing would happen with outlawing guns.
