Blue Loctite For Barrel Extension?

. This is what I've done when there's slop. Then you can use a little loctite to fill in the gaps, which will be very small if your shim is the correct thickness.

The problem with just using blue/green loctite is that it will leak/pool after application and you won't get an equal bedding job unless you've got something to keep it rotating to keep it in place.

I've never done it, but Loctite 609 or 620. Make sure it doesn't pool into places it's not supposed to be.
