Did somebody ask him, or did Bloomie just volunteer his opinion?

As a private citizen, he's no longer entitled to taxpayer-funded security, ie: state police. Soooo... his detail is unarmed?

ETA: When I finished the video I switched the radio back on... right in the middle of a CBS News story about last year's 200+ LEO suicides... more than line-of-duty deaths. A sad story to be sure and I don't make light of it. But if your looking for highly-trained, calm, stable geniuses... well, take your chances if you like. I'm inclined to place the majority of my trust elsewhere.
