Hey folks! I recently found 2 sets of 2 Blackhawk rails for my AR platform at Walmart. I'm assuming that they're discontinued because I can't find them online and they were discounted. Anyway I go to put them on and I noticed that the base is thicket on one end than the other. One side about 1/8 in and the other 1/4 in our so. So if I was to mount say a laser it would not project straightforward from the firearm. But instead at a cant. I'm assuming this is not normal for rails and am wondering about the purpose behind it. Any info is most appreciated.

Check out the pic below. Maybe that's the reason it's tapered?
