Eh, donating to a Dem vs Rep is like choosing a spouse that'll kill you by stabbing vs kill you by long, drawn out arsenic poisoning. You're going to die either way and probably should have chosen a different woman.

Philosophically I am a Libertarian but from a pragmatic standpoint I vote Republican because I really have no choice in the matter. If I vote for a democrat for any office from dog catcher to POTUS I am voting for an agenda I fundamentally disagree with at my core.

If I vote for a Republican I am probably going to see some support for a few things that I agree with and a lot I object to. Having an all or nothing political philosophy may sound good for those who want to be so high minded that they can rationalize doing nothing

The truth is though if you aren't voting against an agenda you disagree with you are passively giving it approval . A slow walk to socialism may not be preferable to a sprint, but at least you have some valuable time to be as much of a hindrance as you possibly can and not aid it getting accomplished in a speedy fashion.

BRCC's response to me severing all business;

Thank you for contacting Black Rifle Coffee!

I have deleted both of your active subscriptions with us so you will no longer receive any charges or shipments. I'd like to kindly remind you that if you wish to ever join again we'd be more than happy to help.

Our co-founders spent over two decades of service in the United States Military and in government agencies dedicated to the preservation of American values, including free speech and our belief in and commitment to the Constitution of the United States and its Second Amendment. Those values are the genesis of everything we do at Black Rifle Coffee. Furthermore, we believe in the integrity of the legal justice system.

Contrary to previous reports, we have NOT ended our relationship with the Blaze and our relationship remains unchanged. View our public statement here:

and yet he still gave money to uberlibdouche tulsi gabbard....what a POS.

Would you recommend that one specifically? I went in on a Kickstarter for an at home roaster...3 years later and it's still "got flaws to work out." Thinking I'll just give up and buy something already on market. So much for supporting the little guy
Like any start-up, it's not as easy as it sounds. At $585+/- the Gene Cafe costs about what an entry level Glock does, I suppose. But the shots it makes are just as memorable. It is made in South Korea and is the only home roaster that is not Chinese, AFAIK. For smaller batches, there are still a few made in USA Nesco CR1010s around. They were about $150-160 new and do a pretty good job.

In Utah especially, that state makes New Jersey look tame!

I have heard this. A RE lady that I know has a brother who lived in Utah and he kept telling her about Utah's POLITICS and how you can or can't run a good business in that state! Boy, did he have stories there! Holy moly!

He moved away from Utah. He lived or may still live (?) in AZ and I do not know if he will ever move back to MT or not.

"Life is too short for bad coffee"

So say the Wisconsin brothers I buy my beans from. Sure, they're prolly libs, but straight shooters, even if they own no firearms. If you pony up for the Gene Cafe roaster, they throw in 6 pounds of green beans to get you started.

For those less willing to throw the cost of an EDC gun into coffee, you can probably still find the Made in USA Nesco roaster here and there. Sadly, it has been discontinued, but is a really neat self-contained, low odor roaster. They were $159, but you might find them for less, or a nice (barely) used one from someone who would rather buy than roast. Nesco has "new" roaster, but it's made in Red Corona.

Handloaders should easily transition to "handroasters" and back. So many bean types and so many roast levels. Even if you mess the roast up, it's still coffee!

So I'm now just catching up with this thread but last I checked there was no stipulations of requirements for who could buy or wear a companies branded apparel. You can go to any second hand apparel outlet and get 'just a shirt' to have 'just a shirt' regardless of any branding. To me the BRCC made a CS statement to try and distance themselves from what they perceived as potential media negativity. Sound familiar?

Just sayin'.

Honestly -- not to be disagreeable, but hey, why not? It's the internet. I don't think Hoffer's main concern was the media negativity, I think he was genuinely ticked off at being associated with someone who engaged in self-defense, acted out of anger, and because his emotions governed his reaction, everything he said and did was a mistake.
