Last I looked on the FEC website and searched "black rifle coffee" for employer, 11 of the 34 donations were to groups not 2A friendly, or about 30%.

Just for fun..35 out of 37 entries for "smith and wesson" are to non 2A friendly folks...but most are tiny donations from the same person. (Presuming Winred is pro-2A and actblue is not that is). I checked several other firearms companies, searching by employer...stunning the number that are toward non-2A friendly directions. Guess they do not like job security. There are likely many variants on employer names, but interesting none the less.

Great research!

Yes, most companies spread the money around. I mentioned Coors beer (edit: maybe it was Busch) before... there was a big dustup many years ago over their donations. Even Trump did the same thing for years. I don't get the rationale behind playing both sides, unless one is lobbying a particular Congressman in an effort to accomplish a specific thing. A favor here, a favor there... doesn't matter which side if your biz gets what it wants.

So, no mention from BRCC about their contributions to anti-2A politicians and also no mention as to why they stopped donations to pro-2A causes.
For not saying a word, that speaks volumes...

Honestly I am kinda thinking talk is cheap. A person can pass off one political contribution to the enemy and say hey that was done on a dare or as a bet/ joke. But CEO made multiple contributions to progressive / socialist leaning political candidates. That is hard for me to reconcile, and yes I get it that a lot if not all of these corporate heads and corporations do make contributions to both sides as a way of hedging their bets.

Still it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when a company CEO says they support the constitution and American values yet they actively supported people who want to destroy the constitution and the American way of life.

I do not reckon I will be buying any more coffee from em no matter how many veterans they support.

Eh, donating to a Dem vs Rep is like choosing a spouse that'll kill you by stabbing vs kill you by long, drawn out arsenic poisoning. You're going to die either way and probably should have chosen a different woman.

^^^^ This :)

Nephew gave me a bag of their beans for Christmas last year. IMO, it was not that good. Based on that, never looked at their product again; just not for me...

One thing to think about with the political donations, operating a business in the state of Utah might carry some extra "Taxes or Fees" to grease the wheels as it were! Might be some of that grease had to be spread to certain party members to achieve the proper levels of lubricant! If it's anything like the east coast, it makes perfect sense! Not saying its right,, just that we might consider it!

You'd think he would have donated to Mitt then. Or was Mitt still an east coast guy then?

You mean there's corruption in government?

Who knew!?

Am disappointed with almost all commercial coffee. I roast my own. Got a Gene Cafe CBR101 for Christmas a couple of years back. About a pound per hour of the beans I like at the roast I like. $3.50-$5.00/pound for really decent green beans. When green, they store for years, so are prepper appropriate. And talk about aromatherapy!
Would you recommend that one specifically? I went in on a Kickstarter for an at home roaster...3 years later and it's still "got flaws to work out." Thinking I'll just give up and buy something already on market. So much for supporting the little guy

In Utah especially, that state makes New Jersey look tame!

True story circa 1993 , I was driving out to Anacortes Island from Oklahoma to work on a Shutdown at the Texaco Refinery . Anyway going through Utah I was pulled over for speeding by a Utah State Policeman , he was polite enough but very curt as he issued me the citation . Before he let me go , he said "If you do not pay that citation don't come back through Utah."

I remember stopping at the first town I got to and putting a money order in the mail for that fine...

During one of my many flights between Colorado and Salem, I had to stop near Salt Lake city for Av-Gas to make it up over the mountains, and one of the local LEO stopped me ( using the Air Ports curtesy car to get a bite to eat) and informed me of some violation I had made, Something about crossing/turning left across traffic into a parking lot, even though it was a middle lane! Needless to say, I got a citation and the same warning! I went to the city hall to pay and was asked if I wanted to contest, Being the smartarse I am, I said yes! Get before the judge and he isn't hearing any of it, He did offer to reduce my fine if I made a donation to the local "charity", ( I.E. LDS) to which I agreed, at least the money might be used outside the agency, and might actually benefit the public! Upon returning the curtesy car, I asked the airport service agent about my ticket and was told that it's very common for the local LEO to target pilots ( Pilots usually have lots of money, right) who are passing through, they flees them under some B.S. to get them to pay the "Fine" which is usually pretty steep for something very minor, non existent! Apparently, Utah makes the proverbial $100.00 burger as an affront, and wants to prove you can actually pay even more for your burger in their state! Even New York wasn't that obvious with their graft, but Rhode Island was by far the worst of them all!

You and I completely agree !! Though I married a psycho who gave serious thought to suffocating me with a pillow.

Way back in the 90's, worked on a project developing a roaster and we used hot air. It was for a Costco invitation to bid to provide roasters to all their stores. We thought people would find great entertainment at the air popping of beans.
Believe it or not, hot air poppers (i.e. popcorn) will roast your coffee very nicely, to the level you desire. For a while, I would pull raw beans out of the freezer, air pop them to a medium-dark roast, fine grind it and then put it through my espresso machine. Mmmmmm, GOOD !!!
Why I stopped?
  1. Added 6 minutes to my jonesing for coffee;
  2. Roasting coffee stinks to high heaven, much worse than "converting keef", and the air popper would fill the house with the stench.

Nah. TMI, but WTH --
woke up one Sunday morning.
Saw on her an evil, angry face. Thought, "what'd I do now?"
She says, "you sleep so deeply, I could just suffocate you with a pillow and claim it was apnea."
Don't remember my response, but the look on her face and tone of her voice, I knew she was serious.
Whack job would be a gross understatement.
And I am a very light sleeper.
