Reading it I initially thought you were referring to the 'guns' as being portrayed 'negatively' as opposed to the race of the people.

There are some really cool people of all shapes, sizes and colors in the 2A community. I imagine growing up in any socialist stronghold like Chicago or other leftist "utopia" is going to give people a certain perspective on a lot of things, including guns and gun owners.

I read most anything. I take everything with a grain of salt - i.e., take into account their spin on news/issues. My filter is pretty fine. I let others apply their own filters. This way I at least keep somewhat current on news/issues and what spin is being applied. Sometimes the news is pretty skimpy on facts/etc., but there is usually something there.

E.G., I usually only listen to NPR in the car (usually 8AM and 5PM during my commute - but I don't commute anymore - and the 630PM "market place" show on the economy and stock market). When it comes to news they are ok, but leave some things out. Their non-news shows usually have a stronger spin though. If there was a better news broadcast I would probably listen to that.
