Bought a couple geissele charging handles. Assumed they'd ship in 6-8 weeks per disclaimer... nope. Shipped earlier today. Guess I don't need to be patient after all with this one

Well, here's what I got. I went about 4pm to Bi Mart. They had the Eylar 5 pistol case reg $59.99 for 39.99.

I also got a box of 333 rounds of Winchester 36 gr copper plated 22 ammo for $15.99. Was reg $19.99.

That case looks like just what I am looking for to store/carry Baofung radios. Would you be willing to measure the length and width of the pistol slots and reply? Thank you!

Sure, I will tomorrow. The slots aren't deep enough for my Ruger Wrangler or Browning Buckmark, but fit my 5 inch 1911 and Beretta 92 FS perfectly.

Everyone does black Friday week now, so lame.

BiMart let me take a case of 9mm home.
GruntStyle sold me several fun shirts for the family.
Amazon is sending 2 dash camera setups to us for my kids cars.
Etsy sold me a pair of these cookie cutters.

But for the actual day, we went to a hockey game.

I've seen those and thought they would be great as long as I didn't have to pack it far! I have one of the single containers like this and the quality is good enough to be carrying a pretty substantial load. Mounted in a vehicle makes a lot of sense.

I don't use them for ammo. I found that with the Plano containers the lid separates from the container when you pick it up by the lid handle. MTM is more stout - thicker plastic - but for ammo I use the GI metal cans. A container the side of the one on sale would be too heavy for me to pickup with ammo in it. On a slider though, I would not need to pick it up (most of the time) and it could still hold heavy items - like tools.

We'll see how it works out. I plan to build the platform myself, but not sure about the slider part of it. I am slowly researching the options and keeping my eyes open for the components/system. Sometimes there are sliders on sale on CL and FB.

Plano never impressed me, but the MTM is much better. I now have many 30 and 50cal steel cans my ammo is stored in, but have the one MTM because I needed one on short notice years ago. It is pretty solid. I think you will be pleased with how it works for you, @The Heretic .
