Black egg carton foam

Does anyone know where I can buy some black egg carton foam for lining a portable gun case.
I have a Pelican case that I am going to configure to fit 2 handguns and acc.

careful in actually buying the foam. There are different types of plastic, and different foam structures, out there. Some deteriorate fairly quickly, leaving a gritty powder all over the place. Others are hygroscopic.. they attract and hold moisture, just the thing you do NOT want to use in a gun case.

I'd recommend dealing with a place specialising in foams and fabrics for commercial applications, telling them what you want and how you'll use it. They should know their product lines well enough to steer you clear of trouble. I do not know the names of foams and products, so I'd have to research it myself.. But I do know there are significant differences, and some types to avoid at all cost.

+1. I just recently learned this. I found the right foam in bulk at a music store. It's used for re-lining used guitar and other instrument cases. Also used for building custom cases. It's the good stuff.

just got the foam from Bauer Cases in vancouver.the foam only cost 12.00 for my replacement foam for my two rifle case.the carry pelican & storm cases for retail and can get replacement foam for about anything.

there used to be an actual "foam shop" by my last house, all they sold was foam, I went there a few times and bough some of the white egg crate foam..

maybe just go on google maps and type in foam under your area?

there is a foam shop on,i thik, 80th & stark.checked his prices and he was triple the price i paid.it is called A-1 foam.
