I have a led sled. I use that for load development and to see what my rifle/handload is capable of. Im working on weening myself off the led sled for more practical applications.
I would use bags/sled for testing.

This is kind of close to what I use - except the rest is different, it is a flexible thing I can conform to what I need:

For technique/skill practice, I mostly shoot offhand.

for use in the field, hunting etc, rather than carry a bipod, i find a monopod (wood staff or a collapsable monopod) almost as good as a bipop and less stuff to carry. Method is to place one end of the monpod in the opposing front pocket of your jeans, cross over at an angle with the mopod and rest the rifle against the staff and secure with your forward support hand....works pretty good and is far better than freehand standing. ME getting up in age i like a staff when hiking anyway.
