Agree with Nammac... my wife did taxes for 15yrs. When she did them for free in conjunction with AARP (blech, commie bastards), illegals would come in with using an extended family member's SS# or TIN and use it to claim the EIC. It was sickening, but the AARP instructed their volunteer tax preparers not to make an issue or report it, saying that the FEDS don't care as long as there is a number on the form. Sigh.

Agreed. As a layperson not involved, I wouldn't do the snitching, but I don't understand allowing/subborning tax preparers to collude in the preparation of false documentation.

It's amazing and frustrating how the system is openly gamed to the tune of ten or hundreds of millions of dollars, yet a blind eye is turned to it.

Doubtful the IRS does much about EIC violations, if anything at all…

It's funny (ironic, not funny) how the IRS squeezes you and me for a nickel, but gives away billions to non-citizens.

Kind of ties into the rent moratorium debate (most recent one). Govt tells people they cant kick people out for not paying rent yet they still expect the property owner to pay all their bills/taxes to the local municipalities while giving the tax revenue in the form of handouts to the very people that don't have to pay their rent. Sounds like socialism/communism to me or at best "financial redistribution".
