I have several rifles I took to the range yesterday and came home and as my usual order of things cleaned them immediately. I took my old 303 Brittish Lee Enfield out and fired her-still shoots great, but when I cleaned her I went to close the bolt and it "poped open"the bolt was all the way down in position and jumps open.
The only thing I can think of is I reassembled it incorrectly -which is pretty dumb because it can only go in one way and with one push down to release.
I did move the firing pin on the bolt by pulling the pin back using the tab at the back, and might have moved the "pin as it has a tract it can go into 2 different positions. The only thing is in the second position it wont go into the breach of the gun.any ideas??

Cock on close? Some Brit rifle's I have owned they are designed to
cock the firing pin as you close the bolt handle. Worn or broken parts
not allowing the rifle to cock?
