This liberal is very much against the concept of bding able to sue gun makers when one of their firearms is used in commission of a crime. For the same reason that Ford Motor Company shouldn't be sued if I decide to run over someone in my Ford vehicle in an act to kill them. However, if Colt makes a gun that has a defect that causes a loss of life, then sue away.

Just wondering if you're under the impression that the PLCCA protects gun manufacturers against liability for defective products, breach of contract, or anything other than third-person criminality committed using a product of their manufacture.

"We" know it, and they also know it. People who take in a steady diet of CNN, MSNBC, Colbert, Kimmel, network drivel, etc have no idea. They didn't even know that it existed until Hillary used it (also dishonestly) to bang Bernie over the head in 2016 just like Biden did... the subject of this thread.

When it comes to gun law (or any other fact-based discipline), people who get their information from the MSM or politicians are terribly un- or misinformed... even many who consider themselves "enthusiasts".

The best I can tell, and what seems to work for me is to watch very little news. What news you do watch be sure to balance what you watch. That means, if you normally watch, mostly CNN/MSNBC that you must force yourself to watch FOX also. Maybe not to the same degree, but you have to watch both sides no matter how painful it is. The more you watch the more apparent it becomes how the media, in general, bends reality to fit an agenda. You never see that if you only watch the same stations all the time. One of the MOST important things is to question EVERYTHING! What ever media outlet you're getting info from, consider it misinformation. If it sounds crazy, terrible, incredibly wonderful? Question it!

Now I understand how painful it can be to watch the ones you don't normally turn on. And some, so called news folks are impossible to watch. Stay away from them. Pick someone you can stomach for awhile. Read more and watch less "Talking heads". I think a big part of living with TDS is to not watch or listen to President Trump himself. That way you avoid all the crap talk. Hell, I don't like watching/hearing him! Well, if he's had the speech written for him he's okay.

Go on with your life, block out those with the most negative outlooks. Things aren't going so bad in this country. And those things that are looking to be circling the toilet will work themselves out. Let the people who's job it is to run the country, run the country. That's the best I got for a person to get through these times.

In terms of a leader... the first requirement for me is they've got to be speaking the truth, and not obviously lying to the people. I can't compartmentalize that out...no matter what side of the aisle they're on. That has got to be the foundation for a leader in my opinion.

Taxpayer-funded college will be worth exactly what it cost the recipients. How much of our money will go towards supporting collegiate sports that actually generate revenue? Do the colleges/universities get to keep that money? Are the professors and staff going to maintain current salary levels? Do the schools get to write their own budgets? Or will a federal beuracrat 3000 miles away determine that? Are we paying for students' books and supplies too? New construction of facilities? What kind of "degrees" will we be forced to pay for?

Taxpayer-funded healthcare by public-employee doctors means rationing and salary caps for staff and doctors. Will young people who dream of going into the medical field still exist? How about when they have to take a semester on "documenting in triplicate"? Who will do the research? The discovery? Innovation helps pay the bills... that goes away. What they're promising amounts to universal health insurance which is very different from health care.

The TRILLIONS of dollars necessary to accomplish even the minimal "goals" of the socialist/communists will require a level of taxation far beyond just soaking the wealthy. And the people who contribute nothing? They will continue to contribute nothing.

Couple this together w Bernie's expressed desire to nationalize energy, banking, communication, credit, the media, and manufacturing while promising everyone in America a government job and there is literally not enough money in the entire world to pay for even a fraction of it. Nevermind that roughly 100 million former taxpayers will need to be imprisoned for "gun crimes". There might not be enough money left for a gun buyback... o my!
