Interesting new device. $300 and you're even riding out a fire as long as you don't burn up. My photos didn't link so well below, click the link on top, this thing will do everything a gas mask will (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear) and also filter CO2.

You can buy an unissued M40 mask for less, which has replaceable filters and doesn't need or have batteries that will affect shelf life. It's nice that it has the PAPR feature, I upgraded my mask a while ago with a PAPR pump (papr - positive air pressure respirator) which makes it much more comfortable to wear for long periods, I use my mask when I have to handle strong acids and some nasty solvents, and usually have to wear it for more than an hour. The PAPR makes all the difference.
