You're going to get a lot of opinions on that question. I really like going on a couple of the well know gun channels and seeing what they have to say about something that I might be interested in. I watch a lot of reviews as well to help weed out the real bad ones.

I will recommend https://www.silencercentral.com/ for a good selection.

I'm thinking of purchasing another silencer I'd like to hear some opinions on best ones out there for the money. I'm interested in buying a 5.56 and or a 30 cal.
In my opinion, the Alaskan 360

.36cal can.

Handles up to 338 lapua.

Can be used on 9mm.

Universal threads on the back to use most mounting systems or you can use the rugged system...

Imo for a conventional supressor.
YHM Turbo T3
YHM Turbo K.
Both have QD systems included and their weight, and sound supression is as good as anyone of the more expensive supressors on the market.

Otter Creek Labs Polonium 30 if you can find one.

With 5.56/30 in mind, I'm guessing this isn't for a bolt gun. PTR vent, silencer co velos, Hux (flow or Ventum). After making the trip to the new school, I will not be returning to overgassed-tuning-gas in the face land. Low back pressure/flow through for the win

I have a Velos as well and yes, dramatic change in gas in the face and it actually makes the sound at the shooters ear quieter because of less pop coming out of the chamber.

I just made the jump from conventional supressors even tho I have 6 of them. Currently have a Vent 1, Hux 7.62TI, and just purchased a B&T Print XH-SRBS in 5.56. The LBP are great, only drawback is they are not as quiet as conventional supressors. But sound supression is not the most important factor buying a supressor as you know. That and LBP are more expensive tho I have no regrets switching fronts.

Something else to consider is consistent host attachments. I stick with silencer co because I'm a big fan of the ASR mount. I am getting involved right now in a Specter 9 that I plan to put on an MPX and I've decided to go with the Q attachments, cherry bomb and Plan B apparently using the tapered fit silencer host actually improve accuracy dramatically, at least that's the word on the street.🤷‍♂️

A note re being more expensive for flow through cans. There are often less expensive options, they just weigh a bit more due to materials or are smaller in size.

Fe Huxwrx flow 7.62 =$1299, ventum 7.62 is $669.

B&T srbs inconel is much less than rsbs titanium. Can't remember prices off the top of my head…

Huxwrx Rad 9 (modular, can be long or short configuration) is around $800 but shorter version of the same can (called cash 9) is less than $600. Can also find Rad 45 (full size, modular) for $600 on sale at times.

One of the biggest keys to saving $ imo is get a can already set up for your gun so you don't have to buy any expensive adapters. Fe when it comes with direct thread is what I like best. For example b&t inconel can be really inexpensive if you buy silencer shop exclusive version which excludes the titanium adapter. The titanium adapter purchased by itself is $400!

I always hit pew science up. They are super rigorous, and you can get a list of different measurements (including a 'score') across all sorts of cans plus they list the cost of them too. you can pretty easily dial in performance and price based on their rankings. they also measure noise at shooter ear versus muzzle, so you can dial that in too.
