Best option of guns for wife?

I like your idea on the choice weapon, but im not sure how it could be hidden

My wife keeps on getting bigger and bigger purses, I figure at the rate she is going in a year flat, She can carry the ar15 pistol and nobody will even know!!!!!

So I went against all advice and bought her a 9mm without her ever shooting one. It will be under the tree and hopefully she will be suprised and hopefully she wont use it on me!

Well she didn't seem to suprised that she got a new gun for Christmas, she figured since I didn't ask what she wanted that I must be buying her a gun.
She shot about 80 rounds through it on Christmas evening and it was her idea to go shoot! The 9mm recoils a little more than she would like but she shot it well and seems to be getting use to it.
