Best methods for installing gas checks on non GC bullets.

I have bunches of 38cal and 45cal non gas checked bullets and would like to experiment with installing gas checks on them. What are the best (easy and cheap) methods to use for this?

These gas checks are supposedly made to work on non gas check bullets. I would like to use lee sizer dies to install them.

Sounds waay too fiddly.

I have read of some people using a collet style bullet puller to reduce the base diameter of a plain base bullet.

Why do you feel you need to do this? Just trying to understand your thoughts. From the looks of it, you are wanting to gas check bullets for a 45 Auto.
