50 foot telescoping pole mast for my HF radio antennas.
Has been standing nearly 5 years now. Well guyed - stood up to big winds for years with no fuss.
But ice was the killer. Last night it buckled and bent after slipping some guy lines and then finally snapped this morning before I could do any further damage control.
With just a fit of trimming and refit she'll be back up, but probably 3 foot shorter than original.
Inner SE - about a foot of snow with an ice crust that can hold 200 pounds before falling through here.
