Best Longterm Storage Rounds In .223

Getting a Bushmaster AR15 for my wife to use in a shtf situation. Will use cheaper ammo for practice but would like to get 2000 or so rounds to put away for the coming revolt. Wondering what would be the best brand to get. Lake City, I understand, is what the services use but pretty spendy. What would you all reccomend. Must go bang every time. Thanks

Wolf ammo still sealed in the giant sardine can would be very good for long term storage I would think.

First if this SHTF does'nt happen soon I'am thinking I'll be too old for it.
I've been thinking the same thing about putting up some ammo, been thinking of the food storage vacuum sealers, putting 200 round bags together in some kind of container that I could seal with a vacuum pump.
