Best FFl transfer costs in Bend/Redmond Area?

I recently relocated to Central Oregon, and I have yet to find "my ffl". Does anyone know a good ffl around here that does transfers for a decent price? I want to buy a gun from online and need to have one shipped here. Any input, positive or negative, would be appreciated. I did a search already on this site and did not see anything come up.

Tom at Lost Creek. Sometimes busy, but always a good guy, and was reasonable last time I talked to him. He's who I used before I had my FFL.

I have used Dan Goode of Gunners in Redmond several times with good service every time. $30 for the transfer and $10 for the background.

Yeah, Bill up in post #3 gives Gunners high marks.
Says that they wait for you to come in and open the package yourself.
That's a big plus, IMO.

Lost creek has the same policy. Boxes are opened when the customer arrives to pick them up.

Lost Creek would be my choice if I lived in Bend. Always make a point of stopping by when we are down there.

Well, I put in the order before I had any suggestions, so I ended up going with Zac at Redmond Firearms. He seems like a nice guy so far, and the price was $35 including the $10 background check.

That's a good policy, but not many do this.
Now, if the dealer made the purchase, I'd be fine with it.

But if my name is on the box and I paid for it, I want to open it.
It's basic courtesy.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a FFL in the Bend / Redmond area that will do a private party transfer at a reasonable price? The local pawn shop now wants $60 + $10 background check fee... which seems kind of high to me.

That's not high, that's STOOPID! Man, just for the principal of it I'd drive for one hour or more each way rather than give a place like that the money.

Still vote for Dan at Gunners in Redmond. Have one en route there as we speak, as a matter of fact. I believe he still charges $30+10.
