Hi, I am just wanting opinions as to what people like in .44 special! I have a Taurus 444 Raging Bull and I want to load it with good hollow points! So far I have a box of speer gold dot jhp 200 gr. What do you guys like? Thanxs
I load my own, it's much cheaper. The Speer GDs are fine, I have some old Win. SilverTips that shoot very well but are loaded to standard .44spl pressure. Here's another option; http://www.buffalobore.com/ammunition/default.htm
I agree with Doc. I heavily researched (I'm an ex-scientist so we go overboard on everything) to find the very best self defense round available, regardless of cost, and came up with the Corbon DPX. Works great in short barrels as well. If your battlestar lands in Oregon, you can find them at Keith's in Gresham...
