I have been shooting XTPs out of a variety of .357s for years (as well as a Henry) and there is nothing else that compares in a JACKETED bullet.The XTP is the best thing since sliced bread for this work (and in years past I used other jacketed hollowpoints of years past manufacture). It is VERY accurate in most guns,

The same 240 grain rounds that go 1300 FPS in my 4'' 329 - go 1800+ FPS in my Ruger dearfield.
This could play a part in expansion [Over expansion] .. I don't know. I have yet to shoot a deer with the .44?
