I've been offered this WW2 M1935 with holster and extra Mag. My friends dad brought it home. 95% condition. I would love to have something of his dad's as he was a great one, but want to be fair in price. Ideas? I saw one sold at auction for $525, and read ranges from$200 to $400, pistol only. What's it worth today? Thanks! M1935 5.jpg M19354.jpg M1935.jpg M19352.jpg

I don't know this gun.

But the finish looks to be more like 65% to me from your pictures.
Still a nice gun. Just not 95%. ;)

Nice pistol and outfit.
I do agree with Medic! ... Nice gun but not 95% finish.
Are there any German markings on this pistol? ... Some of these were issued to German units.
My guess would be between $300 and $400 ...Assuming the bore is good, and no unusual markings.

I know 65% sounds a bit harsh.
But % is very subjective. And my opinion takes into account overall look.

Most collectors want 60% or more finish. Anything else put's a gun in the shooter category.
And that's about where I see this gun. Right on the tipping point.

This rule will budge a bit based on how rare or desirable a gun is.
And ultimately depends on the buyers opinion. And therefor may have more value to a certain person.
It dose not however change it's market value among an average of collectors.

I view condition in relation to value as a bit of a moving target.
I might pay a little more for a certain type of gun in 65% condition if I find them becoming harder to find in equal or better condition.

But it would need to be a popular type of gun for me to do so. I don't want to be upside down very much for very long.;)

I like how this guy did the photography so you couldn't really tell what the finish was like. Had the lighting just so,didn't he?
But he didn't hide the putting by the ejection port;)
