    I'd be interested in more information on this. I've read that older 92's had better bluing than the newer ones, but haven't read any differences in the bluing on newer ones from Italian vs US.

    The 92fs uses a finish called bruniton on the slide and the barrel is parkerized. Bluing was only used in the pre 92f guns. The US and Italian guns are identical.

    Thanks for the info, Added a couple of pics, Slide is stamped 92F, Guiderod is metal.
