I took the class, paid my money, submitted fingerprints to the sherrifs department on April 25th.

    Still no permit.

Is it a Benton County thing?

You should most likely get it within a week.

Did you have an "appointment" with the Sheriffs Department or just dropped off your paperwork?

My rural county will not even accept your application papers until the appointment day. They are booking appointment days FIVE MONTHS in advance! Then they start their 45 day clock to get you your permit.

It is a Benton County thing and do as Redcap suggests, but be nice to the poor lady. They only let her do this stuff part time. Mine took nearly 60 days. The good thing is that the current sheriff is retiring soon so hopefully we can get someone better elected.
