I have a Benelli M1 Super 90 with a 28" ribbed barrel. It's not pristine but in good to fair condition. I have been itching for a different shotgun and I am toying with the idea of getting a shorter barrel for the one I already have. (two, two, two guns in one) It would do double duty as HD and for play time.
HOWEVER, The cost of the barrels I can find are almost what I can pay for a used gun.
I'm not a shotgun aficionado like you all so I am asking for advice.
Are there less expensive aftermarket barrels?
Would I be wasting wasting time and money going this route?
The barrel in this link is described as a "Rifled Sight Set Back Barrel. This is a cylinder fixed bore barrel."
Benelli M1 12GA 19 3/4" Rifled Sight Set Back Barrel: MGW
What the heck does that mean and would it work?
