Without a doubt, shooting in the woods is the most fun for me. I love shooting junk and blowing stuff up. I also love shooting long distance, and it's hard to find 500 or 1,000 feet of clear (and safe) shooting in the woods or at a pit.
Tri-County is great with it's 100, 200, and 300, (and sometimes 600) yard ranges. Too bad i can't put a jug of water on the target. At 900 feet you just can't see the bullet holes in paper. ARCP's 200 yard range was fine until they banned magnetic ammo, and left me with nothing to shoot:angry:. What a waste of money that turned out to be!
A friend who lives near Sweet Home has 500 yards available on his land. That's the best of both worlds! Shoot what you want, how you want, and a far as you want. Can't wait for better weather, so i can give him a call.
