Some people who were lucky-enough to see our future by living in other countries like or similar to Venezuela, began preparing for the "shift" towards communism, balkanism, socialism and Marxism (and shtf) back in 2008.

My generation (the boomer surge...1959-61) grew up without seatbelts & car seats. We piled-in the back of pickup trucks, drinking beer, & cruising main street after football games...If we were stopped, the cops poured-out the booze and called our parents...no life-long criminal record for being young.

Any empathy (or sympathy) I can muster for the demise of our liberties, will be for the young; they may never know the freedoms they lost.

It's going to get much-worse before it gets better. It can be traced back to the 1961 Port Huron Statement (communist manifesto).
A quick review of the conclusions reveal their road-map... nepotism, demanding total-congruence, and facilitating group-thinking in the schools and universities took away enough mojo to make it all happen.

Since irreparable damage to the country has already been done in the "eyes" of some (many) people; meaning the opinions that Dem/GOP are one in the same and voting has been religated to a mere poll, the bar (yellow line for Biggest Looser Fans) may have been lowered to the point where the past is to be venerated, anyone who cares enough to get off the couch and vote should be achnowledged, anyone who wants to WORK for a living respected, and anyone willing to honor the rule of law is to be revered.

How does 941 compare to our 594 here in WA? I told every one I could to vote against it and 4 591 but we know how that went. It's is truly clear what their end game is. I do think folks turning out like they did for the Priest River vet whose firearms were threatened is the best defense. The signs are all pointing in one direction and it isn't good. If you look up Zulia state you will see that it borders with Columbia. Black market vendors buy commodities at subsidized prices and illegally re-sell them for several times the amount in Columbia.

I'm not implying that this problem isn't caused by Venezuela's policies btw.
