2) Leaders push the blame to Police
3) Good Officers leave, Training funds are cut, the caliber of the person entering policing gets worse...

True and the Good Officers want the riff raff Officers booted. Over 80% of internal affairs investigations come from other Officers from what I've been able to gleen.

It's a waste of time to try to "make sense" to someone who is either running off raw emotion, so no facts are allowed, or is just trolling for reactions. Anyone who is watching what is going on knows full well what defund the Cops means, and what they want. Many just want to pretend like they don't get it because they have TDS. They who support this of course stop supporting it the second they need Cops. How many of the anti Cop rioters start screaming for Police when gun come out pointed at them? My understanding is that there was credible evidence that a substantial amount of drugs were being moved through that house. Police investigation of crimes seem like valid. If you said there should be a conversation about no knocks, I'd probably agree.

And it is 100% about individual cases. The statistics do not back up the "systemic racism" narrative.

apparently you don't understand what people mean when they say defund the police. They would still exist, but only in the capacity they are actually needed for.

I hear an awful lot about cops having to pretend to be social workers, marriage counselors, homeless advocates, immigration specialists, mental health experts, crisis negotiators, small claims litigators, cold crime report takers, and more. Why should our tax dollars go towards folks who are untrained to do that, and routinely botch those jobs by resorting to unnecessary force.

I'm wondering if your interpretation of "defund the police" is drastically different from what the loud shouting voices are saying, which is, 'get rid of police.'

That's the funny thing about big societal changes. History shows us, sometimes people set out to make changes, like 'make things better' and then the outcome in reality has been significantly different.

Shooting charge dropped against suspected New Mexico shooter
