Nothing has been changed here. The article is pointing out things that have always been since the inception of NICS like they are a new policy. Lots of folks trying to purchase firearms, the NICS system can't keep up with the quantity of requests all at once.

Everyone should have been prepared already.

I was not suggesting "WE" weren't prepared, however, "THEY" should stop whining about why they can't be prepared because of xyz, blah, blah, blah.

Weasels gonna weasel, whiners gonna whine.
Liars figure, and figures lie.

Maybe if it gets worse, those "previously anti-2A" first time gun buying whiners will whine enough in the right direction to get things to swing RIGHT again . . . . . . . .

You bunch of silly subjects! The supercomputer data centers are for storing your biometrics, not serving the public.
I've said it before- NICS is designed to fail in a "rush" or "panic", duh. Think about it.

Okay, who stole my tin foil?
