I laugh when I read remarks like this CNBC (communist news broadcast center)
I'd like to know where you shop because every store I go to, to shop it's all cheap crap from China, do you know of a store in the us that only sells made in usa ?? please share with me or us and did they tell there suppliers (other stores )to move to china cuz it could save a few pennys. there is no way it could have anything to do with the fact that the USA has the highest corp tax in the world and this administration wants to raise it more. Naw it's wal~Marts Fault .Evil Wal~Mart

If you think that CNBC is communist then you are either clueless or just mistaken it for MSNBC.
CNBC is a financial network and home to some very fine business reporting as well as that idiot Jim Cramer.

But really what company doesn't outsource nowadays? Do you not buy oil/gas because it comes from these "hostile" countries?

I know people go on about how crappy foreign products are but American products are not that much better these days.

So explain why Walmart is responsible for some customer that is deranged?
It would like arguing that guns are responsible for killing people - Seems it is the people

I never shopped at Walmart til this year. The local Safeway charges 2x - 3x more than Walmart for the same thing.
And they still have to match competitor prices.
So why do we support places like Safeway that charge 2x- 3x more? For the same item ( Made in the same country)
Do I get everythign there - NO.
But I will not exclude them.

Maybe legisation should ban walmarts because they are unsafe......

WalMart has a very special place in the argument as they are the ones who actually pushed their American suppliers to move production to China.
There was a special on CNBC that covered how an American supplier was told by WalMart to move their production to China as it would save a few cents (I think the company was making pillow cases).
To me this indicates that they were more than just an active participant in moving our jobs to China, but a driving force.

That is why my motto for WalMart is:
"WalMart - betraying America, one sale at a time"

Agree x1000. Just about everyone sells cheap Chicom crap, but it was Walmart who set the trend in having everything made in China. PBS did an excellent episode on Walmart's policies towards the US companies whose products stock their shelves, and how they all but had to close down US factories and move jobs overseas just to say competitive.
I buy stuff at Walmart on occasion (there aren't any in Beaverton, where i live), but they haven't done anything to win my loyalty as a consumer.

Forgive me for I have sinned. I HAD to go to Walmart with my daughter and went to the ammo section. I found 550 round bricks (22LR) for 18.97 each and bought 2. Course the clerk says, here the 1,000 round bricks for $42.97 and are cheaper. Musta failed math made easy. Anyways I never go in there but I had to confess my sin.

My copy of the Constitution has the words "Promote the general welfare" in the preamble... I can't seem to find the part that says "the rule of law should only apply to the little people" and that our country should be structured to make most citizens wage slaves so a tiny few can live like aristocracy.

+1,000,000

I try to avoid Walmart as much as possible. Also I have yet to hear anyone cite the "promote the general welfare" by self-proclaimed constitutionalists.

You wanna know when Golden Parachute's became popular was when Ford pardoned Nixon. I think the public was right to be mad at Ford at the time for not allowing the rule of law to put Nixon behind bars and it set a trend ever since.

I also liked the post that referred to them as "China-Mart" thats how I feel on the rare occasions that I do go to their store.

Sorry to be negative, but its too late for the country or our Ponzi economy; it's doomed. So Walmart, K-mart, Cheap-Mart I don't care. It is time to do things for numero uno. Doing the right thing would have, should have, happened over the last 40 years but we were all too short sighted and greedy. We let our government get wholly corrupt, let the corporations, banksters, and war profiteers take over. Too late now to turn back the tide. This Titanic is done.

If Walmart has something cheap and I want it, I'm buying it. No guilt, no regrets. We are done so it makes no difference at this poiint.

And will that be your stance on the 2nd or will you go down fighting! There are too many not willing to fight to the end and take the easy way out that is why this country is where it is. Too many people think it is too late and their little contribution wouldnt help and simply give up like the sheeple the government has trained you to be.

Finally! Something we both agree on. Very good point deadeye.

While I agree with your sentiments regarding the severity of the problems we face.... the sun will still rise tomorrow. Life will go on in one way or another so why not do what you can to make the world a tiny bit better. If we all do a little something the cumulative effect can be substantial.

Sure, the sun will rise tomorrow, and the government jackboot will grind your face into the ground tomorrow and every day afterwards. This country is done. We can all try to do a little something to change the circumstances, but since the federal welfare-warfare state has already stolen your wealth to co-opt or murder all resistance to their hegemony, good luck forcing your change through the ballot box. American democracy a sick joke, the government murder-theft machine marches on regardless of who is in office. Only total economic collapse and the dismantling of the regime can change anything at this point.

You can't peacefully fight for liberty any more than you can fight for 2A, you can only defend the detritus of the shadowy remains. You want to fight for 2A? Openly flaunt NRA34/GCA68. You want to fight for liberty? Refuse to pay your taxes. Of course both those actions will result in a violent reaction by the state, but then again, it's not like voting will change a damn thing.

Man, you'd kill the fun out of a hoola hoop party.

Ignorance is bliss, I'd rather be the angry guy with guns.

By the way, I still go through the motions and vote, boycott, work on the Ron Paul campaign, whatever. I just have no illusions about it mattering a tiny bit.

Seriously, I hope things change in your life so you can gain just a little optimism. I mean that in the best way possible.
