Ban Open Carry

Legalize all drugs and make it a punishable offense not to have a gun on you (unless your deemed a danger to yourself and others by multiple doctors) and let God sort it out when it's all over.

Just my 2¢ and what I've thought forever.

Can you imagine how much nicer people would be on the freeways?

Even though I have a concealed carry permit, I open carry most of the time most of the places I go. A lot of people ask me about it, most are gun owners that don't know that it is legal. After a little bit of "education" I tell them to have a nice day. Met a lot of good people this way. A couple of people that I have kept in touch with have gotten their cpl's and started open carrying as well. But I live in rural N.E. Washington so it's a bit different here. Closer to Canada than any other major city. Not close to any of the liberal hot spots.
Off topic: Feels good to live next to Canada. Reminds me of socialist California from which I moved from last fall... just not as socialist.

Nobody wants armed Nazis marching the streets, but the problem is that a person individually open carrying is rarely ever an obvious threat or intimidating. So then we get into the issue of banning open carry for a group of people, but not for individuals? Then how do you define group? What if Mothers Against Drunk Driving want to open carry at a rally? Do we then have to determine whether a group is a hate group before banning open carry? Too many problems.

Also I don't know how banning open carry would diffuse these Nazi rallies. They'll just carry concealed and the chance for violence is just as great if not greater.

NAZI + national socialist party. Nazi is the definition of the average democratic voter. We seem to really be uninformed about the titles we give or take on.

I didn't read the whole article. Got as far as these few phrases, and recognized it for the poison that it is.

Kind of a replay of when the Black Panthers marched on the CA Capitol while open carrying firearms on 05/02/1967. Only difference is that it is a white hate group this time. A hate group opening carrying firearms while marching and screaming racial slurs scares people.

To be honest, seeing any hate group, white, black or purple marching around with AR's scares me some as well.

I don't have a problem necessarily with open carry but more as to the manner in which it is done. A few months ago I walked into an LGS in Bend and this tall, lanky stupid looking fella was standing there with two revolvers in old leather holsters forward on his belt (kind of like pointing at each other) He kind of looked like someone in a old 1930's picture defending the still against the revenuers.

This is very true... Just how you are carrying , what you are carrying and how you are "carrying" yourself can go a long way in just how or if people even notice that you are open carrying a gun.

For the record I do not have a issue with folks who open carry ... Just be smart about it.

You know what - I would much rather actual Nazis be out there openly carrying their arms and showing their true colors than have them be closeted and concealing their weapons. Makes deciding if they are 1.) Dangerous or 2.) Worth talking to or associating with far easier. Kind of like the Antifa dorks with their chains and bats and stupid face masks.

I wish we could all just open carry without issue. Would be more comfortable, and be interesting to see the occasional exotic guns in nice holsters.

Then again I wish I had a unicorn that pooped gold nuggets and pissed premium gas, and self replenishing bacon machine, two bass boats and a private lake full of 10lb largemouth. None of that is likely to happen anytime soon...
