I found this online about this pistol
The pistol was designed by Brian Maynard, who began working at AMT in 1984. The weapon is a replica of the famed .44 caliber AutoMag pistol, scaled down to fit the .22 Long Rifle round; Maynard said he created this weapon when he joined in 1984 as he was captivated by the AutoMag, which was very famously used by Clint Eastwood in the Dirty Harry movie Sudden Impact released that same year, but was disappointed that the weapon was already long discontinued by the time he joined AMT, so he decided to tell himself that he would never get an .44 AutoMag without costing him an arm and a leg, and so he decided to make a smaller caliber replica of the weapon. AMT gave him the green light, and a prototype of the weapon was made in 1985.
The weapon was showcased on a magazine, and the design of a .22 Long Rifle pistol resembling the same AutoMag used in Sudden Impact caught on very quickly; a large firearms distributor saw the magazine, and requested AMT to produce 1000 of these weapons, of which said distributor would be the sole distributor of the weapon. In total, AMT produced exactly 1000 of these weapons. As only 1000 of these pistols were made, it is very valuable in auctions.

  1. I agree to the classified rules and terms of service
Owner bought it new, put two magazines thru it to check the function and put it away. It was returned to Automag when they did a recoil/extractor upgrade in 1988
Has not been fired since the initial testing.
Looking inside it looks new. And as you know .22lr is a dirty little cartridge to shoot.

Has it been fired?
