Went through 3 banks and closed them all for charging me stupid fees. Made the switch to a credit union and couldn't be more happy. No more fees and great service, they even remember me by name after my first visit.

My story is nearly identical to several others- had been with Washington Mutual for 20 years and loved them, Chase takes over, ruined every bit of goodwill I had over 20 years in less than a month. Told them to suck it, went to West Coast and have been quite happy since. Thankfully every time B of A has been competitive rate wise on a financial product, I have been able to find a less corporate option so I have no dealings with them, and if this story is true, I will never deal with them
