I had the Bushmaster pistol. It needed better sights but the operating system was a short version of the rifle and very reliable. It is basically a long stroke piston with an AR-15 bolt. The trigger, hammer, and safety are also AR design. One thing is the trigger transfer rod is a wire rod and gives springy trigger pull.
