Too bad the flight crew wasn't wearing period clothing, or at least muted colors. Seeing that Michigan sweatshirt and the stark red the right seat is wearing takes something away from the effect.

Beautiful plane. My dad had a teacher in high school that flew one in the war.

That guy never flew in civilian life before or after, he only flew during the war. Never got a civilian pilots license. I guess flying brought back memories he didn't want.

Don't forget our own local B-17.
She's gone now but I would eat there all the time when I was in my 20's.

I was told they flew up Hwy 97 at night. And used the car lights as a navigational aid.

I took a similar ride about 15 years ago. Still one of the highlights of my life that sticks with me. Nothing else sounds like those engines purring in unison. Expensive, but well worth it.
