A relative works at a sporting goods/gun store, and told me yesterday that they were tasked with coming up with a new internal procedure, as the ATF is starting to track multiple gun sales, starting with handguns on Mark 15th..

Anyone here heard anything about this?

Let's say I purchased several firearms recently. At what point have I broken a law by purchasing too many firearms? Since no such law is in place, what gives anyone the right to track anything? Another fine example of the danger of background checks and registration. What a complete and total violation of rights. Kip.

No law broken by you for simple purchases, supposedly they track larger purchases in an attempt to catch non FFL gun runners/dealers

Multiple sales of pistols and revolvers within one week require reporting to the ATF and state or local LE Agency. The form required for this is ATF form 3310.4.
I could't disagree with this requirement more!
