there are a couple in there that I don't care for as there is not enough information..."in possession"? "prohibited person" in possession, or illegal seizure? I'm sure it means both, but what percentage of both? and.... Under investigation? What the hey is that?

WOW now that's some interesting stuff. In Oregon the Average time to crime for a firearm is 11.09 years. SO waiting periods have almost no chance of stopping more then a tiny amount of crime.

I believe the studies are intended for law enforcement. It does shoot holes in any 10 day waiting period...., among other things.

Why? A gun could be used in a crime seconds after being bought/stolen and then take 11 years to be found and a trace asked for.
