Was on the FAQ for the ATF's efile page ( https://eforms-form1.atf.gov/faq ) checking on the brace info and I saw this:

Q. If I am the registered owner of a NFA item, can someone else shoot my item in my presence?
No. Only Responsible Person(s) listed on the approved registration may have physical or constructive possession of the NFA item.

Now I'm 99.9% sure this wasn't on the FAQ last year when I filed a Form 1. And I remember googling this very question and reading 2 dozen industry sites, silencer shops, even lawyer's pages on the topic and the consensus had been it was ok to let others shoot your NFA weapon(s) as long as you were physically present and close. Yet another prime example that happens when a governmental agency gets to create rules that are not law but get to be enforced as if laws. Based on that description everyone who has ever held a suppressor, SBR, or select fire item that was not theirs committed a felony.

It appears to be a bulldhit answer on an FAQ. I didn’t attend law school, but I’d guess that an FAQ answer does not equal law. It is probably safe to assume that answer reflects current AFT attitudes toward we the citizens.

Don't listen to there Don't comply and use common sense. They don't comply, didn't SCOTUS say something about the 2 Amendment back in June and the States that are not complying. I heard that over 90 Sheriff's departments plus in Illinois are not complying to the idiot Governors gun control.
