This is one of the more interesting pistols I own. Great conversation piece. The story behind these pistols is very interesting and, but for a matter of weeks or months toward the end of WWII, it might have been as notorious and well known as the Luger. The Astra is a Spanish manufactured pistol that was developed with the intention of selling to the Germans, and for that reason, it was meticulously engineered and manufactured, with incredible precision and tight tolerances. By the time development was completed, however, the war was coming to an end and the Astra ended up seeing very little wartime use. It ended up becoming popular as a service pistol.
Handling the pistol, you can tell it is very tightly fitted, and that after more than a half century for it to loosen up a bit.
This example shows some wear and the finish has a bit of freckling. Still, its in pretty decent shape and still a great shooter. The trigger is a little stiff, and the sights are pretty rudimentary, but if you hold your mouth just right and do your part, it's a very accurate gun.
Comes with the original holster and two magazines.
