I'm wondering what they gained by fighting WW2. They expended blood and treasure to avoid being taken over by a totalitarian govt that would have turned out not too different from what they ended up with. (If you weren't of Jewish persuasion, that is.) After all The Fuehrer told them he would be nice if they just gave up. Churchill is spinning in his grave.
