Only the dayglow foam earplugs shown in the picture, same kind issued in the Corps for weeks at Edson range. He usually wears noise cancelling earmuffs like in the first pic. He's also upgraded to Revision Hellfly ballistic glasses on his own; not standard issue (only ones at Edson with glasses were those with corrective lenses)...so yes, point taken, if not limited to govt. issue go with full PPE always. Sound advice! (All should wear "their" safety glasses as Medic reminded.) Thank you all for the reminder/input.
