UPDATE Portland Fire & Rescue Arson Investigators arrested two men in connection with the March 6, 2013 dumpster fire at Mill Park School in Southeast Portland.

24-year-old Daniel Cristurean and 24-year-old Jonathan Austin Weatherall both turned themselves in to investigators this evening and were booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Reckless Burning, Disorderly Conduct in the Second Degree and Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree.

Portland Fire & Rescue Investigators are asking for your assistance in identifying two arson suspects captured on surveillance video.

On 3/6/13, two unknown males were caught on camera setting fire to a garbage dumpster at Mill Park School located at 1900 SE 117th Avenue. A complete Portland Fire & Rescue commercial fire assignment was dispatched to the scene. Fortunately, the fire did not extend to the school as originally reported and the fire was extinguished.

Dumpster fires are dangerous in that they can quickly ignite neighboring structures such as homes, apartments, and businesses. The community can appreciate the devastating economic and educational impacts that a school fire can cause.

Anyone with information about this fire is asked to call Portland Fire & Rescue Investigators at (503) 823-3796.
